Indian Miniature Painting Transcriptions
The transcription paintings inform my understanding of the structure of Indian Miniatures, including the stylistic conventions of different painting schools. Creating these works supports the making of original work and vice versa. As British painter John Greenwood writes, “Art of the past must be fermented and feasted upon to bring nourishment to his own.”
